ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI 12080 Training (San Diego only)
This training program will equip attendees with the requisite knowledge, understanding, and competency to serve as a member of the facilities water safety team to help protect against Legionella outbreaks and to react appropriately should one occur. The program will focus on developing a risk assessment analysis and water management and sampling plan to protect against Legionella and other waterborne pathogens. The training will also discuss the codes, resources, and skills needed to conduct a facility risk assessment and implement a water safety and management program to reduce the risk of infections due to Legionella.
ASSE 12080 Training (San Diego Only)
This is a one-way in-depth course. All individuals with ASSE certifications must recertify every three years in order to maintain their certification. This course provides a condensed review of ASSE 12080 required for certified Legionella Water Safety and Management Specialists to take the re-certification exam.
Fundamentals and Applications Training
The Fundamentals and Applications course is designed for service technicians new to the industry. This highly interactive class brings the mechanical room into the classroom and focuses on real-world examples; attendees learn directly from leaders in the industry as well as their peers. The curriculum allows for question-and-answer sessions and fosters learning in a collaborative environment, providing attendees with the knowledge and theory behind the “whys” of their role in water treatment.
RO/Ultrafiltration Training
This one-day in-depth course is suited for anyone looking for a better understanding of reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, EDI, or related membrane technologies, including how they function, what they do, and how to take care of them. The course provides a broad, practical, and application-based discussion regarding a wide spectrum of membrane technologies. The focus of the course will be on commercial and industrial reverse osmosis as well as related membrane technologies.
Sales Training
Recognizing that everyone in the water treatment industry is actually selling, this course will take you from the basics to a full understanding of the process as it relates to this industry. This interactive “how-to” session will give you the practical knowledge you will need to develop yourself, your business, and your brand. You will learn about basic and advanced marketing, including finding your company’s values and discovering and developing your brand image.
New!! Program Design and Operations
The Program Design and Operation track is a new 3-day training course designed for the intermediate water treatment professional (2-4 years experience). The course focuses on applying water treatment industry knowledge to the sales process to create solution-driven programs. It provides a quality-oriented discovery approach that will help attendees truly deliver solutions that their clients and prospects have confirmed as being important and representative. It also adds introductory sessions for Wastewater and Potable Water.
Wastewater Treatment (Frisco Only)
This comprehensive three-day course, only offered in Frisco, will cover all aspects of wastewater treatment, including influent and effluent clarification, solids removal and dewatering, chemical application, and how to screen products for application. Your instructors include experts from the industry, well-versed in a broad spectrum of applications. If your company has passed on wastewater treatment applications because you lack the knowledge to take advantage of these opportunities, now is the time to gain this knowledge and expand your business potential!
Water Treatment
This intensive three-day training covers the gambit—regulatory and safety issues, water chemistry and testing, calculations, boiler water treatment, cooling water chemistry, and much more.
The Certified Water Technologist (CWT) Exam
The Certified Water Technologist (CWT) exam is no longer offered at the conclusion of the AWT training seminars. A computer-based exam is available through Pearson Vue; exam centers are located throughout the world. Visit pearsonvue.com/awt for more information.
